Myself, my mom, and my boyfriend came here to get some lunch. Chrissy was our server and I wish there was one of her at every restaurant we go to eat at. She really is just who you hope for when you have a server. She said we would love the fried Brie, and oh my god was she right! We do baked Brie a lot, but never thought to do it fried. My Cajun pasta was as amazing as I expected it to be. My mom loved her Ruben, but it fell apart pretty quick. My boyfriend crushed his cowboy burger. We didn’t care for the texture and consistency of the key lime pie. It wasn’t very smooth, and was grainy. My mom’s bread pudding was VERY thick and dense. We all agreed that my boyfriend’s lemon berry mascarpone cake was the best! This was a great place to have my 21st birthday lunch, and I wish we lived closer so we could become regulars.

I've eaten here several times and have NEVER had a less than perfect experience. The staff are always courteous, the food always comes out of the kitchen rather quickly, and the entire place has a homey atmosphere. As for the food, I would recommend the shepherd's pie, Buffalo shrimp, and chicken wings with a Blondie Sunday for desert. 10/10 will eat again.

We recently had lunch at Horse & Hounds Restaurant and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We dined with friends on the outdoor patio, and one of the best parts was that the restaurant is dog-friendly! It was such a nice touch to be able to bring our friends’ dog along and have him enjoy the outing with us. The service was friendly and attentive from start to finish, and the food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. What really stood out was that they even offer meals for dogs, which our four-legged dining companion absolutely loved! Whether you’re out with friends or want to enjoy a great meal with your pup by your side, Horse & Hounds is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant is in horse country so the theme is equestrian. We didn't get any appetizers, but they have several, including fried pickles. I chose the Pecan Chicken, I had it grilled. They covered it in a lobster sauce with pecans. It was amazing, and the sweet potato fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and served with a vanilla dip. Hubby went for the Prime Rib, baked potato, and mac and cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was an experience in itself. It was creamy and delicious. We were full but had to try the Berry Mascopon cake. It didn't disappoint. So if you are going down US 27 towards Ocala, Florida, stop in you will not be disappointed. They also had music on the outside patio and had a full bar.

Had a wonderful experience at The Horse and Hound. Live music , friendly staff and people. We had the prime rib dinner which was very flavorful and juicy. The atmosphere in the place fits with the area of Ocala and horse country, it was a great time .

Great service and delicious food. The Prime Rib is really thick and prepared perfectly. I will definitely come back here again. I recommend stopping here for a bite to eat.

My husband and I had an impromptu date for Mother's Day. We stopped at the Horse and Hound. We were greeted and seated by Janess. Janess also turned out to be our server. She was a joy!! Warm, personable, attentive, and with a 1,000 watt smile!! She made an excellent meal even better!! Kudos to Horse and Hound for hiring her Janess brings customer service to a new level!!
